I've always been fascinated about the relationship between sound and space, and the way they influence each other.
In music, the influence of space in music is plural. In a simplified way of expressing this idea, we can easily imagine that the way a piano sounds in a living room it’s totally different from the way it sounds in a concert hall.
The space we place in has a particular influence in the way we experience sound, textures of our perception, even influence our mood and affection.
Objects don’t generate sound by themselves, it’s the interaction of ambience and touch that give us the final expression of a narrative. Following that thought, the same works with space, as the narrative and music that a space generates as intimate relationship with the stories, moments and dreams within.
These experimental pieces explore the idea of how we inhabit our vital space, how we make roots, day after day, on a new/different shell, even for a short period of time.
Using music and video as language, these pieces are the story-telling of a personal reflexion of a single shelter and his surroundings.
